The project KLINT, an innovative system of sofas, signed by the architect and designer Franco Driusso, received the prestigious GOOD DESIGN AWARD 2020. The Good Design Award is an international award assigned by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design and promoted by the European Center for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies, which awards the most innovative design projects of the year. The jury of experts this year chose among over 900 products presented from 46 different countries. Klint system has thus earned a place in the renowned Permanent Collection of the Chicago Athenaeum Museum and will be published in the GOOD DESIGN Yearbook 2020/21.

Franco Driusso Architect, tells the philosophy behind the interior design of the Hadid tower – called also Generali tower – one of the three skyscrapers of the CityLife project in Milan, designed by Zaha Hadid Architects A space in harmony with the architecture of the building itself and with the identity of the project focused on high corporate welfare standards over time. Reliability and technology create an innovative work environment, in which the furniture – Kastel tables and chairs – interacts with other elements for sustainability and well-being.
Kappa is a new operative chair in Kastel catalogue Essential lines and clean design combined with important ergonomic and functional solutions. A special syncron mechanism is hidden in the seat and matches with the frame that is available in white or black. The upholstered backrest is equipped with lumbar support and the chair can be also provided with adjustable armrests.
Key line is the new Kastel proposal for the modern office, a very comfortable swivel chair, that has its strength in the agility. Essential design: a soft line defines a slim profile that points out the light of the materials, making it suitable for different situations like operative, managerial, meeting rooms. The mesh monocoque in the colors black, beige, grey and green, offers a very cozy seating. The frame, with or without armrests, can be black or white. The tilting mechanism adds even more comfort. The plus version becomes more pleasant with its upholstered cushion. Stool version with adjustable footrest is available too.
Versatile, dynamic and practical, Klia is a new chair with arms, stackable, made of a monocoque frame in polypropylene reinforced with glass fiber. In the colors white, old rose, turquoise, grey, green, red, turtledove, yellow and grey ardesia, it becomes a piece of furniture suitable for the new interior design collectivity places like hotels, bars, meeting and waiting rooms. Upholstered versions with fix or removable cushion are available too.

The international biennial “ORGATEC 2014” exhibition, dedicated to the office furniture in Cologne, Germany has just ended. At the Kastel stand, visitors from all over the world expressed great appreciation for the previews of collection 2014/2015 such as the new monoblock chair called KICCA ONE, KYRO stool in various colors, KENION modular chair and some additions to existing ranges. Kastel thanks all clients for their appreciated visit.
The recent Workspace & INDEX exhibition which took place in Dubai (May 19th to 22nd ), has marked a great success of Kastel by the visit of a lot of furniture operators, local authorities and the Ministry of Education of United Arab Emirates, Humaid Mohammad Obeid Al Qattami, attracted by the design Made in Italy and the technology of new products, with particular interest about KALEIDO, the waiting collection prize of the Design Award 2013 and Interior Innovation Award 2014, and about the new operative chair KONICA, with full options allows more than 10 possible adjustments.

The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design awarded the prestigious prize “Good Design Award 2013” to the KALEIDO modular seating range, produced by KASTEL and designed by Driusso Architecture Studio. The award confirms the aesthetical and functional quality of this modular sofa, which is the ideal solution for contract areas.
The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies have awarded the GOOD DESIGN AWARDS 2013 to KASTEL for the new Corporate Identity Program designed by Driussoassociati Architects.
The GOOD DESIGN AWARDS is a prestigious international award established in Chicago in 1950 by the ex-administrator of MoMA Edgar Kaufmann Jr., together with the pioneers of the modern design as well as Charles and Ray Eames, Russel Wright, George Nelson and Eero Saarinen.
