Kicca One 2nd Life
We design seats for the comfort and well-being of the people that use them.
Ours is a complete approach to comfort, which promotes both the ergonomics of the products and the relationship we have with the environment around us, from within the office to the entire planet. Recyclability, the efficient use of production resources and dismantlement are the result of a vision that promotes the simplicity of forms and that leads us to design chairs that overcome the challenge of time. This way of thinking is clearly represented by the Kicca One, now even more sustainable in the 2nd Life version.

A focus on environmental sustainability
Sustainable design
Designing with nature means minimizing the negative impact of the design process and generating high-quality products that can stand the test of time, both in terms of style and performance, putting the health and comfort of people first.
This is Kastel’s philosophy: to furnish spaces that take care of the well-being of those who use them.
Productive process
During the production phase, the utmost attention is paid to reducing the consumption of raw materials, the rationalization of resources, the reuse and / or recycling of waste, and the control of emissions. Making durable products, both from an aesthetic and resistance point of view, is the key element to guarantee sustainability. Kastel products are made with high quality raw materials and are fully recyclable and environmentally friendly. Right from the design stage, Kastel chairs are designed to be produced and disassembled through processes aimed at limiting consumption.
Certifications
High quality and respect for the environment are well established practices and confirmed by the ISO9001: 2015 certification as the quality management system.
The Kastel collections are also compliant with European standards UNI-EN16139: 2013 EN1335: 2018-2020 relating to safety, strength and durability.
According to the tests carried out, 16000-9: 2006 + ISO 16000-6: 2011, by determining within a specific area the emission rate of volatile organic compounds (VOC) from newly produced furniture, it has been shown that Kastel products do not emit toxic emissions.
Kastel promotes environmental sustainability by choosing only FSC® certified packaging where the material used comes mainly from the recycling process.
Commitment to the environment that also passes through the choice of reliable partners in compliance with the “C.A.M.” Minimum Environmental Criteria, requirements identified for the different phases of the production process, aimed at identifying the best design solution, product or service in terms of environmental valid for the entire life cycle of the product. Introduced in Italy in 2015 by art. 18 of Law no. 221 dated 28 December 2015 and, subsequently, by art. 34, the C.A.M. represent the national reference point of GPP (Green Public Procurement or Sustainable Purchases of the Public Administration), the environmental policy instrument established by the European Commission which intends to favour the development of a market of products and services with reduced environmental impact, thus defining the obligation to include technical specifications and the clauses specified therein in public tenders, consequently encouraging more sustainable production and models of purchasing.
